The following names were submitted to Bishop Zubik. They are the ones that received the most parishioner support. The Bishop will return one of these as the new Parish Name. As a reminder, each church building will keep its name.
Blessed Family
Our Lady of Perpetual Help
St. Peter the Apostle
Good Shepherd
Blessed Sacrament
The process and timeline for the official merger of our parishes is continuing. The list of names (13) for our new parish, pre-approved by Bishop Zubik, was recently received. The next step of formally soliciting feedback from St. Mary & St. Ursula parishioners regarding these 13 names will commence on or about March 1. However, in order to allow as much time as possible for discernment, the list of names, the respective rationale with a biography for each name, and an explanation of the naming process are provided below. Hopefully, this information will be helpful in discerning and selecting 5 preferred names. Your continued participation in the process is appreciated!
After prayerful consideration by the Advisory Council of the 100+ submissions from parishioners, the following list of Recommend Names for our new Parish has been submitted to Bishop Zubik. Thank you for your prayers during this process.
