The Core Team is a group of adults, some young and others young at heart, without whom our youth program wouldn't be possible. Core Team members take an active role in forming authentic, Christ-centered relationships with teens, because teens don't connect to programs ... they connect to people! Teens (middle & high school) need adults who will:
- Love God & live for Him
- Be genuinely interested in the teens' lives
- Go to "their world" - show up at their games & events with other Core Team members
- Pray for them
- Be patient
- Laugh
- Remember their names & care about them
- Be authentic witnesses to God's love
- Be consistent
- Enjoy life
- Love teens unconditionally
- Love Christ and His Church
- Have a personal prayer life
- Be open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit

Remember, the 12 apostles didn't have any credentials or experiences, and they helped to change the world! If you want to serve the youth of the community, there is no ability or talent that the Lord can't use.
Volunteers Must Have Clearances
Any volunteers who are age 18 and older MUST HAVE Safe Environment clearances.
Please contact Safe Environment Coordinator Laurie Exler at 412-486-4100 or [email protected] to start the process. It can take weeks to get the clearances in order so please do not wait until the last minute.Wondering if your clearances are up-to-date? Contact Laurie – she will be happy to check for you.
