Vacation Bible Camp
Dear Parents, Send your kids to experience life as Jesus did in His Hometown of Nazareth at the St. Mary Campus.
At Summer Bible Week, kids will experience many aspects of life as Jesus did as a child. They will meet Mary, Jesus’ mother, hear about His ancestors of the Tribes of Jacob, and see, hear, touch, and taste some of the same kinds of things as did Jesus.
Tribal Leaders will help kids discover skills at the marketplace such as Team-building games, sandal making, weaving, jewelry making, & serving one another. All of that plus lively Bible songs and dances are just a few examples of the exciting activities that will help kids understand how faith flows in their own daily life. Kids are welcome to come in simple togas and safe shoes or sandals.
Our mission outreach will connect kids-to-kids in Fondwa, Haiti whose lives were damaged by a terrible earthquake in 2009. Believe it or not, there are still many families struggling to rebuild and have basic necessities. The living conditions in Haiti are comparable to what they will learn of the simple homes of the children in Jesus’ hometown. Purchases made at the open market 12:30-1:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, August 3 & 4, will go to help our “adopted” friend, Father Joseph Phillipe, a Spiritan Priest who visited Pittsburgh during the last week of April. Google his name and see a “trailer” of a documentary movie about his work, or www.raisinghaiti.org/father-joseph.htm
Save these dates & times on your calendar: August 1-5, 2022, 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.
Parents, Grandparents, and Friends are invited to join in the singing at 12:10 pm in Saint Mary’s Marian Hall.

Sincerely, The Hometown Nazareth Leaders
